Go to the wiring diagram of the first version L-Jetronic
here and look at item #4, an optional altitude compensator. The diagram for the LE used on the 2.2 is the next one and there's no reason t you couldn't wire it into the circuit similarly . . . if you can find one of these. Have never seen one in US to be honest, not even on other cars like Audi, BMW, Saab, Volvo, all of which use very similar LEs.
