Your Chassis No. 39 0832642 is around mid-way between so would have ben produced in mid- production year 306,376 between the numbers and yours 181,356 in from the start. Plus Opel shut for most of July for Summer Holidays so less were produced in the second half of the Model year ... say around March/April 1966 for the production date of your particular Wagon.

Be interesting if Opel reply to you and we can compare my estimation with actuality

. . . actually, Summer Holidays in Germany are in August, as I recall from several business trips there . . . I'm sure some of our German readers will correct me if I'm having a "senior moment" here.
