I'm curious if you are able to find used Chevettes where you are. A couple years ago I wanted a dead one to study the feasibility of swapping its front suspension into a GT. All the wrecking yards laughed at me, seems Chevettes are so unwanted that they instantly get smashed whole whenever they pop up. So one was given to me, when we went to haul it away we found such a perfectly pristine Grandma car that we couldn't bear to cut it up. It had one slight scratch on it, the interior was spotless. All it needed was a clutch. So my friend put a clutch in it and gave it to his mom. She drives it every day.
