I only drove it in Rick's driveway so I didn't notice the whining. There was some oil built up in the middle of the floor as well as in the right wheel so if the pumpkin gasket is good then the pinion seal is bad, yes? Haven't done one in 20 years, as I recall there is an end nut and a collapsible spacer back there ahead of the bearing. Duane would know better than me. Can you get that stuff from OGTS?
It was actually the first time I had sat in a GT and pushed a pedal. I was surprised my head fit under the roof without a problem.
