If it's a standard sending unit, it should have one wire going to it. If it's a dual sender (for a gauge and idiot light) then it will have two wires running to it, and as Jordan has already stated, it's on the passenger side, back by the area where the bellhousing attaches. It will be the only thing back there with any wires running to it.
