The previous post reminded me of when I first joined the USAF. A group of us had finished taking the battery of entrance exams and the recruiter had called off a bunch of names. He said he was sorry, but the names he called out had not scored high enough on the exams to be considered by the USAF. However, if they still wished to become members of the Armed Forces, they could take their paperwork down the hall to the Army and Navy recruiters and they could enter that service. That incident prompted me to pen the following, which I'm sure will incur the wrath of some:

The Marine Corps wants a few good men,
The Air Force takes only the best.
The Army and Navy don't give a damn,
They take what's left of the rest.
