VIN's for 1973 US models, started with "OY0"
If European models all used a #79 prefix, then identification of a GT/J would be by the parts installed: Matte Black bumpers and gas cap, limited dash instrumentation, etc. I thought that #79 referred only to that model (which we don't see very often here).
