Ascona:
Model with a low compression engine 1.6 N [not sure if there was a 1.9 N engine]
Ascona S:
Model with a high compression engine 1.6 S or 1.9 S
Ascona SR:
Model with a high compression engine 1.6 S or 1.9 S,
and with visual trimmings: 3 gauges in the middle console and, as we call them here, cross rims or clover rims.
There also is an Ascona with a 1.2 engine, don't know if it was a high or low comp engine.
