some additions:
1.9 low compression (75 hp) and and 1.2 low compression (55 hp) were not available for the Ascona/Manta A vehicles.
1.6 S high compression had 75 or 80 hp. The 1.6 S 80 hp head is a real rarity.
In combination with a 1.9.s or 2.0 s engine block, the engine runs fantastic.
btw, very, very few cars (less than 50) with the 1,7 engine were built for the Egypt market.
