Hi.... I'll write a small story about how my Gt got into my possession, and a little info about the car... I did write a long post, with I think it was 96 photos... But since this stupid forum is limited to 6 in each post... well, you get the pi.. well that's the problem.. you won't, now will you ? I guess 6 photos will have to do...
First, a little info about my self... I have always been an Opel fanatic, from before I got my license even... I've had a few, my first one was a 1991 Opel Kadett E Frisco, 2.0i-8v that I got from my father in 1999, a limited model made to show of the Kadett a model, as you know, it was re named the Astra afterward, this was a Sedan, with full black recaro interior a 5 speed close ratio gearbox, sun roof, and a few styling details by Irmsher...
Before I eventually got it scrapped, because of damage to the frame rails, done by my brother a few years before I got the car, it had poly bushes, Yellow Koni ajustables, polyethylene bushes, 16v suspension with disk brakes in the rear, Headers, open air filter, chip, throttlebodies, a quiafe ATB diff, sports cam shaft... well.. It went like a bat out of hell... Had it until 2006..
Here is a vid of the car going 0-108 mph..
1991 Opel Kadett Sedan 0-180 kmt, (108 mph) on a l- Video
The next car was a 1989 Opel Kadett E 1.6i, nothing special about it really..
Sold it in 2007... Bought a 1992 Opel Vectra Expression, 2.0i-8v Sedan, also with a black recaro interior, as with the first Kadett...
It got most of the mods the first Kadett had, as the parts fit straight over...
It's now my every day car...
Here's a pic from the race track at rudskogen, taken on the main event of OMC Norway in 2008:

Ah.. back to what the thread is really about... My GT...
Well, I saw an Ascona B with a rover V8, manual gearbox ++ and thought to my self, I can afford a new car, and that one would be awesome... Unfortunately, the ad was a bad joke by the owner, who, after I coughed up the money withdrew, and refused to sell..
Longing for some Old style Opel RWD fun, I started looking for alternatives, determined to spend the money...
After a few thousand clicks, i found this Opel GT a guy at the
Opel Motorsport Club forum was selling, knowing the man by reputation, and by talking to him in previous street meets, I went for it..
The car is as the title suggests, a 1973 Opel GT... Originally intended to become an Ice racer, it had a lot of cool features I really wanted in a car, and despite the steep price, I went for it...
The engine that was in the car when I first bought it was a derivative of a 2 litre CIH with 180 bhp....

But since I had a lot of expensive and custom parts for my C20NE engines, (2.0i-8v OHC) that's what I'm going for...
After refurbishing the car, reinforcing the chassis and building and fitting a roll cadge it more or less looked like this inside:
After painting, it looked like this:
Now it got some decals, I might remove some of them later...
The original posts involved the entire building process, but when I'm limited to only 6 photos for reasons I am incapable of comprehending in a world of High Speed Internet... I'll only list some specs:

Right now, I'm waiting for the seller of this car to get parts for the custom headers he's building to match the camshaft so I can pick it up.. I promise more pictures when I've picked it up..
Here are some pics in my Photobucket gallery, no descriptions on the photos, a few pictures, are either not of this car, or they are of parts, no longer in use, such as all the engines, and the chairs from kirkley, they where only tested by the previous owner..
