Hi All,

I checked into this last year in Louisiana, and DMV told me I needed four things to get a title in LA. The first is a notorized bill of sale, second is to have the car vin and bill of sale verified by the State Police, third is to be a member of an antique car club (they didn't say what kind), and last there has to be no current registered owner. I was confused on this one and I asked again and they told me that the LA records only go back for 5 or 6 years so if there isn't anything in the records for any current registration they will issue a title in your name. You can get a copy of these procedures from DMV, they printed a copy of me when I asked. Let me know how it turns out.
