I have a 1980's vertical mill based CNC that has a Fanuc 6M-B controller on it. Like you said it's a great controller.
Still making parts with the machine.
I have 6 different older controllers to program and work with, 4 mills and 2 lathes. Gets to be a pain remembering all the little differences!
Going to make RallyBob some parts this week on the Haas.

I sure hope so! Voltage at this point is too high again. Power went out Sunday when I was at the shop so I couldn't finish trouble shooting the power. Soon as the voltage is back in line I should have the spindle powered up and the mild steel flanges out the door.
The chick vise I have has these really slick machinable jaws so I'll be using them to make a "fixture" for the stainless steel flanges so I do the machining more efficiently.
