The Koni reds, IMO, are not sufficient in terms of travel before bottoming, and in terms of dampening capability, even though they are adjustable. The lower you go, the greater dampening you will require to maintain ride quality. You do not want 'soft' dampening on a lowered car, believe me the ride quality degrades rapidly when the suspension bottoms out!

And the possibility of bottoming the 'reds' out just means that when the shocks fail (and they will if they are too long and they bottom), you'll need to buy another set....this time 'yellows'!
