I bought a brand new 97 Firebird and before the warranty ran out, I had to replace the transmission! The strange thing about it was, the dealer tried to tell me it was the exhaust system and not the transmission! The warranty was within 200 miles of running out so I guess he was hoping I would just drive off and wait until it rolled over 36,000 miles. Then I would have been stuck with buying a new transmission out of my own pocket. I was born at night, but not last night!
