Are you from the USA? There are several Salems around, but mentioning a 74 Kadett would make it a Kadett C, which was never sold here and counting my own, I know of 3 or 4 in the States. Unless the year of your future Kadett is a little off, the last year the Kadett was sold in the US was in 72. Do you have a pic to post? Let us know a little more, and you will get more useful help than "look for rust!!!".
