I have a shaft that can't be used because the cogwheel [?tandwiel] is bad, this would be a nice piece of equipment to have in my special Opel-tool toolbox

. . . made completely from scratch, just took bottom end measurements from a dizzy including the centering pilot at the top and machined everything up on a lathe. The aluminum pilot has a bronze "oilite" bushing that the steel shaft runs in . . .
Your "tandwiel" is held in place on your dizzy shaft with a pin that is peened on each end. Just grind off one of those peens and drive the pin out from the ground off end. Then just tap your "tandwiel" off the end of the shaft . . . and, voila, you're in business!
