That's probably because they are built by the GM/Toyota joint venture at the NUMMI Plant in Fremont California, as a near-twin of the Toyota Matrix (which oddly enough is built in the Cambridge Ontario plan in Canada, not at NUMMI) . And according to this article:

even that's ending in August.
Coincidently, I was following a Vibe this morning and I wondered what GM would do with the better selling cars built and/or sold exclusively by the demised brands, Pontiac and Saturn (such as the Vibe, the Sky, the Vue and the G6 etc). Apparently GM is so focused on cutting the brand names down that they are willing to "throw the baby out with the bathwater". It makes me wonder how long it will take before they are BACK in bankruptcy court...
