    ingnition switch override button

In dropping my steering colume I failed to notice that my starter button ( installed by the PO ) had 1 lead to short for the drop I am wondering where it connects ? has anyone done this bypass can you tell me where the wires go? there are 2 wires that connect to the button the switch has to be on for the car to run But the starter will fire with just the button ( will not run though) I haven't yet traced the wire thats still there and was hopping to find out where both should go before I wedge myself in there thanks

Yep, it's an easy install. One wire comes from a positive 12V source, probably one of the 4 studs in the center of the fuse panel, the other goes directly to the solenoid via the Black/Red wire. To clarify, there are 4 connections on the starter solenoid, the top one is from the battery and powers all the circuits in the car, the bottom one is conected to the starter motor. One of the side terminals goes directly to the + connection on the coil and the other one is where your starter button wire goes. HTH.
