Unanswered: How much Electrical Needed to Run

The dash and gauges are out of my GT right now, but I wanted to start it up and drive it over to a local shop without having to call a tow truck or rent a trailer. The fuse box is in and the steering column is all plugged in. Does it just need the battery and that to start, run, and drive?

I'd have to double check my DESTEC schematic to be sure, but I think all you should have to do is fasten the two leads from the ammeter together, and tape them up to prevent arcing and sparking. Then check out the system with the key on, then if all is O.K., start it and see if it will fire up, If it does, you should be good to go.
