Unanswered: Starter problems?

Went to fire my GT a couple weeks ago, it turned over for about 5-10 secs. I stopped, checked things, went to turn the key again and got nothing. Took the starter out, benchtested it and it needed a new solenoid. Had it rebuilt ect. Put it back in, same thing. At first it would crank, but on a second try nothing happens. I'm gett 12 volts to the Solenoid from both the battery and the ignition and I have a solid ground. Is there a flat spot on my starter that the electrical shop who put the solenoid on missed?

How are you checking the voltage?
The solenoid is a problem area so its a good call to replace it.

I'm checking it with a volt-meter. And its because i've already replaced the solenoid that i think it must be a flat sopot on the starter, though the motor will spin by its self is i give a a charge while sitting on the workbench
