'72 Opel GT (Sara)

With the lights on and at idle, my ammeter reads slightly below zero. Giving it some gas raises that back slightly above the zero mark.

Good question.
My GT has a GM 63amp alternator. Mine reads +10 after starting, then drops slowly back to slightly above 0. With lights and A/C on it reads +10. Not sure what normal reading is. Lyle |
