![]() I went and got the keys popped the hood and disconnected the battery for now. Funny thing is yesterday I was going to start the car up and then disconnect the battery. So what would cause this? I am sure that something is touching it shouldn't be. Possiible corrosion from the battery box? Any ideas let me know. The good news is my wife called it a manta!

Hey Dave:
Is your battery box solid ? It's raining, and it is a direct path to the fuse block. Mine did all kinds of crazy stuff in rainy weather until I sealed it up well. I also keep a sheet of plastic under the hood covering the entire battery area - just in case. Rick |

Yeah I was thinking something to do with water. What usually happens to the fusebox? I guess I need to basically pull the box and try to remove corrosion and seal up the battery box.

Once you do the repair and sealing, a gel cell replacement battery is a good idea! I've been running them in my truck for years and it's the only vehicle I have that doesn't have rust on the battery tray and fender well. Harold |
