This will be something that a battery conditioner can not fix anymore, after the fact.

Product Recommended...

In case others are wondering how well the Deltran Battery Tender Plus works, I thought I would post my results. First, it is very easy to use and comes with long cables. I clipped the red lead to the battery positive terminal and the black lead to the grounding strap bolt. On initial charging, the red LED was solid indicating that my battery was more than 80% low on charge. The "You've Hooked It Up Wrong" LED was off indicating I had the proper connections . After about 12 hours, the green LED started flashing indicating I was now above 80% charged. After 20 hours, the green LED went solid indicating the battery was fully charged. Whether or not I have a slow drain on the battery is another issue that I need to look into but I would recommend the Deltran unit for ease of use and the way it reports status using a bank of LEDs.

HTH,

Matt
