wow, that sounds like regulator problems. Check your belt tensions and conditions too. Good and tight..... Excellent. A good parts store might do a quick check of your charging system. Especially if you tell them it's intermittent and you'll be buying the replacement parts there.

Funny you should mention that, My GT was doing it too. Alternator, regulator all check out and it bounced back and forth. Turned out to be an odd issue, The brush lube on the alternator would stick if it was cold at all. Causing them to stick and ya I think my neighbors enjoyed the strobing headlights too.

I would check all connectors at the alt. and voltage regulator also the ground wire at the alt. and mount. maybe something simple.HTH

Thanks for the replies.
I haven't had a chance to look at it at all, what with the holiday's,work,not to mention it gets dark at 4:45 or so. Oh and the rain. All I want for X-mas is a garage!!!!!! At least my hands are clean. |
