Unanswered: Lower alternator bracket bushings

I need to replace the lower alternator bracket rubber bushings on my GT. Does anyone know of a source for those? I'm hoping that one of you may have found a common substitute available through a local autoparts store.

I won't swear to it but a 88 Saab bushings look quite similar. Try here, if the link works. http://www.eeuroparts.com/productdet...ts=1&code=5573 Hth, Jarrell

OGTS used to stock them (genuine GM parts), and they can be mailed in about three days. Have you asked them?

I love dealing with OGTS, but on small orders the shipping costs mount up. I went by Advance auto tonight and bought some prepackaged shock bushings ($5). I'll post the part number later. They were a tight fit, but I was able to press them into the bracket and was able to then press the steel inserts into the rubber bushings. Time will tell whether they hold up. The rear bushing was in horrible shape and the front bushing was only fair. I guess they were probably 36 years old.
