i have a 69 Gt...
there's 2 main plugs that hook up to the fuse box that come from my ignition and turn signals and so on,a white and black plug...the black plug i don't have, somehow it's gone and all i have are the wires that were suppose to go in the black plug...i also have a short red wire with a clip? from the ignition? that looks like it is hooking up to the turn signal pice on the end on my 1972 parts car...my car has no place for that red clip coming from the ignition to hook up on...can anyone help me with the mess of wires that use to be my ignition/turn signal wiring...?

I can help you with the black plug. You have the black receptacle in the fuse box right? You are missing the black plug that is attached to the steering column, right? That I have. Email at tomking2(at)mchsi.com with your address. I will send you price and shipping cost. Thanks.
Some one else can answer about the red wire.

If you have JJ Wheatly's GT wiring diagram that will show you how. Do you have a factory service manual? If none then you need to get both really. I can show you with an enclosed diagram where the various colored wires go in the black plug. But you should have a wiring diagram. Oh, are your wires cut off and have no connector on them or are the connectors there that fit into the black plug? If no connectors then you will need to go to radio shack and get the right connectors to crimp and solder onto the wires first. Then they plug into the back of the black connector.
The short Red wire from the ignition switch goes to cars that have the "Euro" style turn signal switch setup. That allows them to turn on the parking lites on the street side of the car when they are parked. BTW, the connectors have wires that are male or female spade lugs, so they have a good connection when they are inserted into each other. HTH.

Looking at your pics, you're gonna have some problems. There are wire colors there that don't go to the Black connector, but the White one, and some colors that are supposed to be there, but are not. Tom's right, you need a DESTEC schematic. Or, if nothing else, trace the wires back to the fuse panel to see where they actually go. Lotsa luck on this one.
so whoever wired this stuff did it all wrong? i have a 1972 ignition and whole column just like this but different...will this work on my gt...any year differences?
can anyone post a pic of what it is suppose to look like?

As far as I know the steering column will work on any year GT. There are some wiring differences in the early GTs, but mostly the headlight wiring. As long as the wires are hooked up correctly there shouldn't be a problem. The only way to know for sure if the wiring is correct is to physically trace the wires out, just to be sure. I can tell you what the wire locations are from my DESTEC schematic, and they were correct on my 72. HTH.
If your spare column is fully intact then you have no problem. Just install it. Plus you have what you need on the 72 column to fix your 69 column including where the wires go. In any case, this fix is not that difficult; you are going to be OK.

here are some new pics... notice there's no clip there for the "red" wire from the ignition to clip on...my 72 parts car's turning signal pice had a clip on it. any wires missing?

The gray wire goes to the key buzzer. There should be a male lug connection on your key cylinder for it. It grounds the circuit from the buzzer, through the drivers side door jam switch. HTH.
