Unanswered: What Ignition Coil for Pertronix & What Voltage Regulator?

What kind of ignitioin coil should i get for my opel that has pertronix? Would autozone have it? Same question with the voltage regulator...

One more question could i use a 69 opel gt voltage regulator on a 72 opel gt?

Just a note of caution.I used the flame thrower coil with the pertronix recommended by OGTS.In doing this you have to put a resister of some sort in.I was constantly burning out the resister.Just kills the motor . Your dead in the water.Had to change to a different coil & larger resister.OK now but it was a real pain. 2 different shops talking to pertronix ended up doing 2 different things.just be carefull & double check with pertronix & OGTS.Good luck

The Pertronix unit needs 12 volts to function properly.
Also a points style coil is also needed..theres different coils the primary and secondary windings are different.Just what you needed more confusion
