Unanswered: Electronic Ignition

I'm planning on installing a Petronix electronic ignition and would appreciate any tips, tricks or traps that I should be aware of. I've purchased the unit and it appears straight forward but I've learned (the costly way) that it's always wise to ask more experienced people first (in anticipation of "screwing" it up). I purchased a 73 manual GT last year that was idle for about 4 years. It starts but idle is rough and carburetor replacement is next on the list.

I appreciate any advice.

Thank you,

Kappy

Try searching for "Pertronix" you'll be able to read for days! I don't have one, I have the Crane Cams XR700. Not sure really which is better or desired, just what I inherited from the PO. In fact, I just hooked it back up last night and am very hopeful all is well when I fire it up this afternoon, sunny warm (relatively) day and it's becoming time to turn her into the frequent driver again.
Good luck.
