More likely your starter solenoid than the coil . . . a word of caution about starters and solenoids. Opel used both Bosch and Delco starters over the years, so you need to determine which one yours is because the solenoids are unique to each brand . . . mount differently.
This is only an issue if you're just replacing the solenoid, i.e. you have to tell parts man if Bosch or Delco! Obviously, not a problem if replacing the whole starter . . . either works fine!

Thanks Tekenaar, that's what I thought it would be. I talked with Harold about it last night. He told me about the 2 brands of starters, I believe I have a Bosch but will double check before I get one.
Wrench459, did I forget to mention that I built one using instructions from OGTS and have it installed? |
