. . . not exactly true, you just asked the wrong question . . . about an Opel 1.1 engine disti! They will only list Bosch distis for this engine, most likely, about 99% of them were.

Instead, try asking for a GM 4-cyl engine Delco disti and give them the Delco number only, don't even mention "Made in France" . . . it'll just confuse them!

. . . OK, how about this then, '60s Chevy II 153CI 4-cyl engine disti then . . . look up points, rotor and cap and see if they fit Opel engine Delco disti. If so, you have your reference for Pertronix unit needed!

Remember, GM was run by "bean-counters" in those days and I can't imagine GM designing different distis for each of their 4-cyl engines worldwide, probably just different drive shaft lengths and gears depending on engine use . . . disti head and guts likely identical!

Oh, just a thought . . . have you verified that the Bosch points, rotor and cap listed won't work on that Delco disti?

Re Ignition parts for industrial Opel 1.1 motor-

Hi! Unless they have done something unusual for that application, why don't you just convert to a bosch distributor? Look at ebay Item #170232459036- though maybe someone in the forum may have an extra one for sale. The Bosch unit uses a more popular, easy to find point & condenser set! Ernie
