    Introducing the S-ECU Lite

When your mind is free to wonder, things like this tend to happen.

I am introducing the S-ECU-L Ignition Control System.

This system solely controls your ignition by measuring frequency (RPM), absolute pressure sensor indications (MAP) and coolant temperature sensor (CTS). The result of the calculation, as referenced to the updateable look up table, gives the proper ignition advance and spark time. This fully tunable system increases engine efficiency and improves performance in all modes of operation.

The S-ECU lite is self contained, requiring the addition of minimal components for proper operation. Basically, you install the unit and wire with the supplied connector, add a CKPS and a dual coil from a Dodge Neon and you are set to go. You can also use your existing distributor to trigger your fully editable timing events. In this mode of operation, external components are greatly reduced and your engine can be fully operational in less than one hour. You will need however to disassemble part of your distributor to remove and lock the mechanical advance.

There's a base software table that is included and used when the S-ECU-L is fired up for the first time. This will get your engine running and ready for additional tuning via the USB port and our Manager Software.

The S-ECU-l will be available for purchase on 12/1/2015, for more information please contact us at info@edcatl.com.

I'm not familiar with MAP sensors. How do these work on carburetor setups?

Nevermind. I see it has an embedded MAP sensor.

    New products in the horizon

Bottom line is, the S-ECU Lite as described here will get replaced by the S-ECU-1L by the beginning of the year. This will be a better manufactured unit and l be sold strictly in the US. Like everything, several of the partners are in a personal feud, something we do not want to get involved or participate in since they are not part of our family.

We believe this change will be a better move for our company, creating independence and getting rid of all other parties involved.

Stay tuned for the Opel 1.9L installation, not being greedy, just looking at a trouble free future.

I believe there was more of an interest in MS and Tuner Studio from the members of this site, than the actual product no matter what the name was.

I frankly believe what you are doing is a wasted effort, we all know the purpose of the post so if you want to close the source on the project, I'm pretty sure the hand full you sold to the US will not miss you.

But a new system will be coming along soon, works right off the box and no guess work, just plug the pre-made harness and go.

This is very old stuff, I'm done with it so by all means show a video of a working 1.9L Opel with you system.
