Unanswered: turn siginals out

Hello,

looking for any replies on turn siginals going out ,, i drove the car last year around July , everything worked fine then . the car sets covered up in a garage so i go last night to start the car and do a pre inspection as i was going to drive it a couple of miles only to find that both sides of the siginals are out , any pointers to get it fixed . the car is a stock 70 GT
Thanks
Jesse

Guess I'd check fuses first, then grounds.

Check the connections at the green connector on the fuse box. On my GT even though the connector was tight the individual wires were not fully connected. I got a finger up into the fuse box to support the connector and wires, then used needle nose pliers to push the wires further into the connector.

You beat me too it. Turn the "Flashers" on and then press very hard to turn them off. Sometimes a dirty connection here will cause this to happen. Do the flashers flash when turned on?

To eliminate the turn signal stalk. With the key out, turn on the left turn signal. The left hand side parking lights should come on. The same with the right turn signal position.

Let us know.
