turn signal problem

i read some other threads on this but and i checked the flasher and it seems to be fine
it doesnt feel like the lever pops into place
would a single bulb out screw the rest of them up
is it common to be in the steering column

Opels are way before the "one bulb messes up the rest" thing. At worst a bulb out on an Opel will cause the flasher to blink slowly.
If the turn signal lever doesn't pop into place, it very well could be the switch in the column. Might also be the supply wire.
