Recently within the past 6 months or so I have noticed on a couple of occasions the right indicator did work. This seams to correspond to driving in the rain. It doesn't always do it when the car is wet but it has definitely never worked for me when dry. Anyone else ever come across this? I am accustom to finding nothing works when wet with my Austin Healey Sprite. Does this sound like a ground issue? Its nothing that im too concerned about, its just a curiosity. |

Definitely sounds like a ground issue....reminds me of lucas electronics which your Austin Healey had. I know my dad's MG does some strange things when it is wet out; some things worked when it was wet that didn't when it was dry, and more things didn't work when it was wet.

ground or the electrical connection itself. And have you checked the relay? When I got my GT I took out all the light fixtures and found that the connectors had not been taped when the car was painted, preventing good contact. sanded them all clean and turn indicators worked. Sometime later, after having replaced my steering column I found that my right was no longer working. Not sure how or when, but somewhere along the way I had reversed the wires on the front right turn indicator, allowing it only to work when unscrewed (was grounding out when attached back to the car). Was hard to figure out as I could no longer easily tell the wire color with the yellow paint on them, and since they had worked before. Good luck with it.
