Unanswered: Wiring gurus - Help

I spent some time today gathering up info and producing a wiring diagram for my engine compartment because of all the aftermarket stuff I'm incorporating into my build. These include:
  • Compufire dis-x coilpack
  • OP6610 oil pressure switch
  • Ignition switch relay
  • Carter fuel pump

Hopefully this can be a resource for people adding any of these items. I'm hoping that the wiring gurus out there can look it over and point out any errors I may have made. Specifically, I would like to know:
  1. the 14 guage black wire between the old coil and the starter is gone. Was this a switched wire that I can use to power the Compufire?
  2. If not, what would be a good switched source for the ignition switch wire on the Compufire?

Thanks for your help

Your using the start circuit from switch to pick up the start relay, what is the oil pressure switched used for? Is it just fuel pump safety to kill it on loss of oil pressure. I see you have starter circuit assuming that is only for energizing fuel pump on start (I guess circuit assumes fuel line is charged and bowl is full of gas unless your going to crank it for awhile while pump filling carb with gas) then the switched power on oil switch after starting runs the fuel pump as long as pressure is adequate?

That's the idea. The wiring for this was detailed in a post by Tekenaar. I'm just pulling all this info together.

1. That wire was used to put system voltage to the coil during starting only, it is not a "switched" in the mode you're thinking. It is switched, but only energized in the "start" mode.

2. Best bet is to use the same connection for the original "transparent" coil. It went to the #6 fuse male spade lug. IDK what connection you would use to energize the compufire system during start mode, you'd have the check their schematic.

I replaced the org. ign. wire ( clear res. wire from fuse box ) with next size solid wire to power my Compufire sys. because it needs 12volts .

Or you can use the clear wire to control yet another relay for your 12 volt input to the compufire module.
What do you think guy ..is there enought voltage to keep the contacts from fluttering
sure would pull some current off the fragile ignition switch

No need to use the resistor wire at all, just run a new one, much better.

Is the relay that the 14ga black running to supposed to be the Otto Start. If it is that is not the proper wire to use, I have to look at a schematic but I believe it is black/red. Yup, black/red ....check here...http://www.opelgt.com/photopost/data..._Schematic.pdf

It was black/red. I replaced all of the wires from that bundle and striped wires are hard to come by.
