Mystery black wire with connector

I have discovered a black wire with a connector, lying loose (and unconnected) in the rear left behind the brake and directional lights ('70 GT). Would this be for the rear window defogger that the car does not have? Any insight would be appreciated.

After checking the wiring diagram . There is a black power wire for the rear glass heater in that area.
