I've checked the prints for every year GT and they don't show that cross connection there. I know it does since I cut one recently to send all but the starter switch to somebody. It looks to be a kind of an oops wire. After looking over all the prints I'd say either your horn or interior lights don't work. the wire itself comes out of the white connector and back up to the column in the black covered bundle and has to be for the interior lights. Just looked at mine and pulled the black plug and horn still works and most every door switch and dome light wire is brown.HTH but looks like a booboo on the prints too

Tan or Brown wire goes to the horn button ring on the steering column base plate.

Thanks I do not have horn or interior lights good call! do you know what the other wires from that bundle cover? the white plug wires do not line up with there counter parts- they do not match. at some time they got switched around and the blk/red wire that comes from the starter relay in the engine compartment does not mate with anything going up the colume i didnt just get it upside down they just dont line up! I think it must be the red wire but if you know the proper arangement I need it Thanks
