Unanswered: tachometer questions.

i'm trying to figure out why my tach isn't working can any one help?
i'm guessing it's a electrical tach but where do the wires go to make it start working? i have pics here

According to my DESTEC schematic, there are three male spade lug connections. Two close to each other and one by itself. The one by itself is a Red/Black wire that powers the tach and comes from the positive terminal block between the speedo and ammeter/oil gauge. The center wire is the Green one that goes to the coil negative side via the Green IP connector Pin #3. The last one is a ground Brown wire that connects to the ground lugs on the back of the speedo. HTH.

Adjusting tachometer

Is there anyway to adjust the teachometer-zero it out, I'm running at 1800 rpms with the engine off!!!

You can pull the needle off the post and put it back on at zero. Just make sure the post doesn't turn while you put the needle back on. Internally, there is an adjustment for the electrical circuit board. HTH.
