If you removed only the brown wires at the gauges, those are the ground wires for the lights only. The actual gauge grounds are through the respective sending units. The temp gauge grounds through the sensor in the thremostat housing, the fuel gauge through the tank sending unit, and the oill pressure through the pressure sensor. The ammeter has no ground, but shows system use from the alternator to the battery and connects the battery to the rest of the circuits. The tachometer has a separate that is attached to the back of the speedometer, where all the instrument panel grounds should go. HTH.

Hello!
Espero que su Opel se reprenda. All of the gauges have ground wires which all meet at the back of the Tachometer. All power leads meet at individual junction blocks around the Speedo and the Tach. Just find out what color wires you cut off and we can continue the help from that point. But I would connect everything as it was and run a single lead from the back of the Tach to the firewall to increase the grounding ability. I have done this in a few Opels and dead instruments have come back to life.

According to your previous post, all you did was remove the grounds for the gauges and instrument panel lights, and re-connect them somewhere else. That should not have interfered with any gauge function.

Gremlins? From Wikipedia: A gremlin is a folkloric creature, commonly depicted as mischievous and mechanically oriented with a specific interest in aircraft. Sometimes they are unexplainable and hard to get rid of.
