Unanswered: Wiper problems

I had taken the wiper mechanism out, cleaned, painted, and reinstalled. Since I have been doing other things on it, i haven't driven it much
(especially in the rain). When I recently got caught in the rain, i turned them on and it didn't work right.

When I turn them on they go down into the cowels. They stick and bind the motor. I tried the obvious adjustment on the arms and it continued. The only other adjustment I saw was how they are attached to the motor. I made this crude drawing on Microsoft Paint to illustrate my question. How is the attachment plate supposed to be oriented?

Thanks

Sounds like you need to take them off and put them on in the right place. Take them off and cycle the wipers and turn the switch off. let them park. Then reinstall in the bottom, parked position. sounds like you have them out of position on the shaft.

cycle

I did that. When I let them cycle and reinstall, they go farther down first. That's why I thought it might be where they are attached to the motor.

Thanks
