Well, an hour later, some elbow grease, a flashlight, and a few bumps on the head, my fuel tank sending unit is working!
Fuel gauge wasn't reading... Turned out to be a bad ground in the fuel tank sending unit.

There was some corrosion in there that wouldn't have been fun to clean.
I was able to solder a ground wire to the copper tension thing (lack of proper term prevents me from using it... haha) and send it out the casing via a small slit cut in the side so the float could slide all the way up properly. The other option was to send it out one of the holes, but I wasn't sure if it would block the float or not...
This is actually the second sending unit I've done this to. Just thought I'd post this up as a suggestion. The other alternative is drilling out the rivet that holds the contact on, but that seems like more of a hassle...
