Unanswered: Horn button terminal?

Where exactly does the brown wire for the horn hook up to? It looks like it was pulled out by the previous owner when he messed around with the steering column wiring (gotta love people who don't know what they're doing... ). It's connected at the fuse box end, but I have no idea where it should go on the horn button side. Wiring diagram isn't very specific...

Brown wire goes to the floating connector on the steering wheel hub horn ring. Sole purpose is to supply ground therefore sounding the horn. The horn ring is floating on several springs so when you press down, you make the gound and horn goes off.

One is included in your package.
It looks like the barrel of a ball point pen with a spring contact on one end and a cable/connector on the other.

There is a hole on the hub that it goes through and allows continuity from the main (fixed) part of the steering assembly to the hub.

Thanks! They make things a little more clear. I'm going to wait until I get the new steering column in the mail to look at it again. I have to replace the column anyway (stripped threads = fearing that the steering wheel will pop off one day while making a turn ) so I'll do it all in one fell swoop

still befuddled...

Forgive me for my incompetence... but I still have no clue where the heck the wire for the horn is supposed to go. It looks like the PO just yanked the wire out, so the end is ripped off... Is there a special connector/terminal, and if so, where does it fit on the floating connector that blancojp mentioned?

I sent you the spring loaded connector that allows contact from the horn button to the horn ring under the hub. The horn wire goes connected to the ring under the hub and supplies ground to the horn relay.

Alrighty, I see where it goes now. I didn't even see the slot for the terminal on the underside of the horn ring... Thanks for clarifying
