That's interesting.
Our Pontiac dealer has four Solstices. Still. They've been there a long time, since about September as I recall. I haven't seen a single one on the street yet.

Many dealerships are charging a premium over list and so the cars sit on the lot for a while if no one is willing to pay the premium. I paid over list for mine a year ago when they were really tough to get. I think it would be hard for a dealership to justify charging over list on a base Sol now. However, GXPs are still going for over list. I wonder what the Opel GTs went for in Europe - with such a small quantity available, I would imagine the mark-up was substantial...

According to the opel webpage (my German is very rusty!), the price of the 2007 Opel GT is 27,410 - 32,100 euro!

Wow - at 1.3622 U.S. Dollars to the Euro (today's rate) that is $37,338 - $43,727! I went to the Saturn "Build Your Sky Redline" web page and took every option offered (including turbo cat-back exhaust) and it came up with a MSRP of $32,259.

The European MSRP includes sales tax of sometimes over 20%. I know Germany's sales tax is 19%.

But even after adjusting for the tax, the prices are very high due to the strong Euro ...

The prices should be very low then....the cars are built in the US, and at $32,000 US that's only 23,491 Euros. I suspect there's a bit of price gouging going on!

Yes some Atl. dealers were selling $5000

over list for Pontiac but the sales have " cooled " and now you can bargain with them

. There were some mechanical problems with the first ones but they are being fixed .

I told my dealer that .01 over retail and I walk! So I paid MSRP for my Solstice in April 2005, delivered August 2005.

"Sold out for 2007" - the oldest sales ploy in the used horse industry.

"Oh - but I have ONE left, if you are quick .... and can pay the price!"

Bet Buick Dealers even tried that with the originals in 1969.

NOK 653.000, or ~112,421.00 USD

However two Mustangs, a Pinto, and a Capri were hospitalized. One Mustang was euthanized the next morning.
