Your vin # 941831651 states that your GT is European, can you make a photo of your GT ID tag?

The number "15" indicates that the original exterior color is/was "GT metallic Green" (a.k.a. Britischgrun in German).
"701" indicates the "beige" color interior that actually resembles a tan color in appearance. The metal tag that certifies that the vehicle conforms to "Federal Safety Standards" is a sure sign that your car is a U.S.A. version originally sold by Buick. And since GT Metallic Green was available in the USA GT's for the '69 model year only, your GT is certainly a 1969 model year (also confirmed by the vin number) The 94 at the begining of the VIN indicates that your car is equipped with the 1.9 liter engine (but you probably already figured that out!). -Jonzo |

The information is from the book Opel GT Projekt 1484 by Henrion/Muller. Lots of useful information. Its only downside is that it's written in German. I have a German to English dictionary so I can pick my way through it. A lot of the technical information doesn't need translation - you can pretty much understand what they're talking about if you understand a few key words. Makes for great practice for my German E-bay excursions!

You could also try here....
AutoColorLibrary Color Chip Selector of course you have to input the make and year. ![]() There are some Opel under Buick in the Domestic section as well.
