Unanswered: door mirror mount location

My GT has aftermarket door mirrors that were installed by the previous owner. The PO filled in the original mount holes when he restored the car. I am going to change back to the factory mirrors and Ive been looking for the dimensions for the correct mounting location.

If someone has a GT door that they could take a couple of measurements for mounting hole locations, that would help me a bunch.

Thank you,Bob

The two holes from the chrome on the bottom of the window are 3 1/8 inches down. They are 2 9/16 iches apart.

The first hole on a parrell line to the front of the door is back 11" inches

I'll try to draw something up tomorrow unless someone comes up with it first.

I noticed when I mounted (aftermarket) door mirrors on my '71 GT that there is a metal strip running horizontally along the inside of the door skin. This strip has two recesses where I believe the stock mounting holes for the mirror are meant to go. (That's what I used them for, anyway).
If you have the interior door panel off, you should be able to see what I'm referrring to.
