    door lock safety?

Passenger side latch was "sticky" and hard for my kids to push in (two hands required) I was in there to mess with the window crank and spray lubed the latch works. Much better but now you have to hold the exterior button in to lock (like many cars, to prevent accidental locking) I assume this is how it is supposed to be and the driver's side isn't working correctly? Is this correct? GT locks require you to hold the button in while closing the door to keep the plunger down and door locked? If you don't hold it in, door simply unlocks as it latches. This is by design, no? Just curious.

Anybody save a copy of rework to disable feature that requires door button to be held in to enable locking? It was Wayne Toman's link.
