Unanswered: Cowl scoop

I wonder if a short deflector plate, sticking up between the hood edge and windshield, right behind the cowl vent screen would increase air flow though the dash and kick panel vents? Wouldn't mind maximizing air flow through there as it's HOT!

That's the reason for the seal forward of the cowl plenum, to seal off the engine compartment heat from entering the cabin. If your hood does not close down on the seal, you will get hot air in from the engine compartment. With the Lenk Tuning Hood on Willit?, I had to raise the seal plate to match the inside of the hood and get after market bulb seals to close it all off. luckily, I got bulb seals that were 1/2" and with the hood pins it sealed the area nicely.

I think my hood is sealing okay, the air coming in is cool and fresh, I just want more of it!

theres a switch on the dash with a propeller shape on it , if you move it to the first or second position you will get more air flowing through the car

the area you talk about is supposed to have increased air pressure when on the move ( some talk is of 1.5 bar ) i cant see a deflector getting any more that that in to the cab most of the problems are to do with getting air out of the cab , those opening rear quarter lights are great at doing that and one of the best swops to do in a hot climate in my opinion

I thought that switch was for "amphibious mode".

PO put in the pop out quarter windows (not very well, but they're there) so maybe that's as good as it's going to get. (which when at speed is pretty good, crawling through town, well, I guess that's what AC is for).
There's some AC components on ebay......maybe not.
