Unanswered: Opel Gt Exterior Door Handles

I don't have any keys for the car. I want to take the door handles off and take them to a locksmith to have keys made.

How do you actually get the door handles off?
Has anyone done this before?
Any suggestions?

Thanks
Bob

It's pretty straight forward. Take off the interior door panel, and the exterior handles can be removed by accessing the bolts that hold the handle on to the door.

The other bolt is painted over and is on the end of the door that faces the door jamb.
The key code is on the flat bar attached to the door handle, clean the grime off and it will be two letters and three numbers. Several people on the list have instructions they can forward to you for the locksmith about cutting a key according to the key code.

HTH,
Harold

Well it seems that somebody in AZ, not to mention the place, or their name Mike needs to send the container of keys back that they were "supposed" to a few weeks ago
