Unanswered: Is This a Kadette Bumper?

Can anyone confirm for me if this is a front bumper for a '68-'69 Kadette? Will it also fit other years? It's definitely NOT for a Manta. I bought an old stash of bumpers, mostly Manta/Ascona (no GT bumpers), but this one was an oddball and says '68-'69 Opel on the back.

Thanks,
Todd Kirby

I compared pics from the B Kadett and it's bumper doesn't have the little point in the middle, but the Manta does have it and it's to short on the sides for a GT look at the pics:

I have a number of Manta bumpers for comparison and the "V" is much more shallow on this bumper than a Manta bumper. When I look carefully at your Kadette picture, I see a slight "V" bend in the bumper - perhaps it's more noticeable when the bumper is not on the car?

Bumper ID

I think it is a Kadett bumper, looking at the mounting holes for the bumper guards. I couldn't tell you which years it fits but I vote for a Kadett front.

I measured my 67 Kadett front bumper and it's about 72 inches along the leading edge, tip to tip. There are 2 small holes on the underside, 7 inches apart, where the license bracket goes.

The bumper in post 1 is not for a Kadett (neither for a "Kadette" ). See attached pic from a Kadett front bumper, it is round but not pointed.

I will freely admit this most-fatal flaw!

After seeing Dieter's picture, I think it's a Kadett bumper. The reflection in the chrome makes it look a bit more pointed. Plus, I think it has the right holes for the bumper guards (as Opelnut10 mentioned). If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM. I recently bought a stash of early style (chrome) bumpers, mostly Manta and Ascona. They were plated by a chrome shop that has long since gone out of business back in the 80s, and they've been left in storage ever since. I'm hesitant to state "show quality" because I think chrome quality is very much in the eye of the beholder, but I would consider all of them to be in very good condition, and as straight or straighter than NOS. The plating seems excellent (they were plated many years ago when the chrome quality is considered to be significantly better than many places provide today). I'll be shooting them across Ebay in the coming weeks. I also have a few '76-'79 Opel Isuzu bumpers (2 chromed, one flat black), plus a NOS '74-'75 Manta "Big" front bumper.
