Unanswered: Opel GT Source Interior

I posted to an old thread a few days ago wondering about a 'full interior kit' that supposivly Opel GT Source was producing for $1000.00. With no direct answers, I sent them an e-mail and got a response. Below I attached what I got for a response, as well as a full list of what they are currently supplying and have in stock.

Dear Jon Samuel,

The rumor, that we are working on remanufacturing door panels and rear upholstery quarter panels, is true. We are still working towards the goal to get these to our satisfaction.

However I do not have an ETA, as the manufacture has to get me a pre-production sample, before I can approve a production run.

The other rumor I read from a poster on opelgt.com was the $1000 price quote. I have no idea where this comes from. That rumor is not true.

Let me get you a list of the NEW items we have on-hand, and In-Stock.

I sure wouldn't mind seeing these if someone gets them.

Nice list - Thanks! I think I've purchased just about all of that except the door sills - does the lack of a part number mean it's a special order item?

Matt

Not a problem. I believe it is a special order item.. and I have no idea on the price. Being stainless steel, probably not cheap!

Hmmm... I'm going to look at my sills tonight real careful and see if it would be worth exploring. I happened to notice some dings in mine when I was working on swapping out the fuel vent lines last weekend and that is why it is top of mind right now.

Thanks,

Matt

I 'cleaned up' the email a bit when I added the bullets to make everything easier to read. As a part #, they listed it as being SP, so that could possibly mean special order. Any other idea's on what it could stand for?

Hmmmmm [I]SP[I] ... that's a tough one... Sill PLate is too obvious and just silly, so I'll guess Spare Part?

I think with how many are stock ones are dented, bent, and dinged, the SS plates are worth whatever they're charging.

Just guessing but probably means "Special Purchase".
